The authorities of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, authorities and representatives of the religious confessions, religious communities and social figures attended the presentation, AzVision.az reports.
Mubariz Gurbanli, State Committee chairman delivered an opening speech in the presentation. He highlighted the role of the president Ilham Aliyev, the successor of the national Leader Haydar Aliyev in the representation of Azerbaijan in the modern era and the preservation of national moral values. Moreover, Gurbanli emphasized the development of tolerance and multiculturalism in Azerbaijan.

Gamar Javahirli, deputy chairperson of the Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO) emphasized the successful cooperation between the Caucasian Muslims Office and the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations. Javahirli stated the importance of the book for the religious confessions in terms of highlighting Ilham Aliyev’s activities in the field of religious education and tolerance are noteworthy.

Then Alexander Ishein, archbishop of Baku and Azerbaijan eparch expressed the importance of the book titled “Ilham Aliyev: Azerbaijan is an example of tolerance”. He stated, Azerbaijan is a bridge between the East and the West and the North and the South. Furthermore, he stated, Azerbaijan is rich with national resources and historical traditions of tolerance. Milikh Yevdayev, the Head of the Community of Azerbaijan`s Mountain Jews emphasized, a model of tolerance in Azerbaijan has become an example in the world. He noted, the government shows respect and care for both Muslims and other religious communities.
Gennadi Zelmanovich, the chairman of the Community of European Jews in Baku, Robert Mobili, the chairman of Alban-Udin Religious Community, Vladimir Fekete , Ordinary of Baku Catholic Church, Nariman Gasimoglu, the head of the department of Analysts Baku International Multiculturalism Center and Agil Shirinov, the tutor of the Baku State University shared their opinions on the book titled “Ilham Aliyev: Azerbaijan is an example of tolerance”.
